POSITION INFO:
This position is within an established financial services brokerage that specializes in providing tailored financial planning and insurance solutions to a niche professional market. The Internal \/ Key Accounts Broker is an office-based, inbound position focused on managing, servicing, and growing an established portfolio of approximately 300 clients. This role involves comprehensive underwriting, portfolio renewals, and administrative management across both personal and commercial lines, with no external client travel required . Key Responsibilities: Manage an assigned client base, ensuring high-quality service delivery and maintaining proactive communication regarding insurance needs. Conduct a minimum of 25 telephonic or Zoom consultations per day to discuss policy details, renewals, amendments, and cover options. Perform general underwriting duties, conduct risk assessments, and process policy endorsements or changes accurately. Proactively manage the renewal process, conduct portfolio reviews, and implement effective retention strategies to minimize lapse rates. Source and compare competitive quotes from multiple leading insurance providers to ensure optimal cover and pricing for clients. Monitor and manage unpaid premiums, coordinate prompt premium follow-ups, and process policy refunds according to guidelines. Manage policy cancellations, arrange property valuation services, and coordinate tracking device installations for vehicle insurance. Maintain strict compliance with all relevant South African legislative and regulatory requirements. Requirements: Matric Compulsory RE5 certification. An NQF Level 4 qualification in financial services is highly advantageous. Minimum of 2 years of underwriting experience handling both personal and commercial lines, ideally within a brokerage environment. Strong interpersonal, administrative, and communication skills, with a proven ability to interact professionally with corporate or professional clients. Attributes: High attention to detail and precision in administrative tasks. Proactive problem-solver with a strong client-centric mindset. Structured, organized, and capable of managing a high volume of daily digital and telephonic interactions.
