Internal Sales Consultant

POSITION INFO:
Our client, a leading manufacturer and supplier of specialised rubber products to the mining sector, is looking for an Internal Sales Consultant to become a key part of their commercial team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the heart of the sales operation, supporting customers, managing tenders, coordinating contracts, and driving operational excellence. Working closely with external sales, production, and logistics teams, you'll ensure customers receive seamless service while helping to optimise internal processes and support automation initiatives across the business. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full tender administration process, from sourcing opportunities to submission and follow-up Prepare quotations, sales orders, pricing schedules, and contract documentation Administer customer contracts, pricing amendments, and commercial records Support external sales representatives with pricing, reporting, and customer administration Coordinate customer orders with production and logistics to ensure on-time delivery Monitor outstanding orders and proactively communicate with customers regarding progress Produce sales, contract, and tender reports using advanced Excel and reporting tools Maintain accurate sales documentation, vendor registrations, price lists, and customer records Identify opportunities to improve sales administration processes and support automation initiatives Assist with strategic sales and marketing projects that contribute to customer retention and revenue growth Minimum Requirements: BCom Degree in Marketing, Business Management, Commerce, or a related field Minimum of 3-5 years' experience within an Internal Sales, Sales Support, or Commercial Administration role Previous experience within the manufacturing industry is highly advantageous Exposure to the mining sector is preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience working with ERP systems and sales reporting tools Strong analytical and administrative capabilities Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines Who Will Thrive in This Role?
