JOB SUMMARY:
Inventory and Warehouse Manager required to join Manufacturer based in Ballito.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

General warehouse management
Stock and materials Receiving
Inbound components quality and verification checks
Bin allocations
Store keeping
Staging and Issuing of stock
Safety in the receiving, stores, and warehouse packaging areas.
Conducting Stock counts
Updating and maintenance of Inventory system.
Stores management
Production input and planning sign off
Issuing of materials and components
Inbound and outbound logistics
Finished stock storage management and planning
Dispatch management
Damages and waste tracking and reporting
General Waste management
Innovation and development from an operational perspective
Manage general Staff in the warehouse and stores.
Maintenance of plant and machinery
General warehouse maintenance
Warehouse security

Specific tasks

Tracking, tracing, and updating the status of inbound shipments
Receive all delivered stock according to Receiving policies and procedures
Maintaining inventory on warehouse software
Store all received material according to the process and policies
Staging in accordance with the Production Plan for 1 week in advance
Issue stock to manufacturing teams according to the process and policies
Store all stock in a neat and logical order
Clearly label all items in the store by item code
Maintain a stock storage/Bin record of where all items are stored
Ensure all stock items are packed safely
Ensure all stock is on pallets or decking
Perform bi-annual stock counts.
Spring clean the storeroom, receiving area and warehouse once a year.
Ensure all received stock is correctly accounted for and verified
Ensure that the receiving and stores area is always in an ordered state
Ensure that receiving staff are following the correct procedures
Ensure that checked stock is repacked in an appropriate manner for stores
Safe unloading and packing of all delivered stock
All receiving documentation is timeously and accurately updated into warehouse software system.
All issued materials are timeously and accurately updated into inventory software system.
Ensure all stock is packed according to Process and procedures
Manage all planning associated with Production
Manage all planning associated with Printing
Manage general employees in the Warehouse
Manage storage of finished goods
Manage Maintenance of the warehouse
Manage repairs and maintenance of all tools and machinery
Innovate and develop or improve systems
Control all stock and raw materials within the business.
Manage outbound logistics
Manage dispatch of all finished goods
Ensure all areas of operations are kept neat and tidy
Manage the Health and Safety within the warehouse
Management of sale of / removal of redundant or obsolete inventory
Participates in continuous improvement training and trains others
Input into Planning, Leading, organizing and controlling the warehousing team.
Plan staff shifts
Assist with audits and responses.
Ensure equipment is calibrated and validated
Keep a close eye on key warehousing metrics in the inventory management system
