Investment Analyst

POSITION INFO:
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, investment committees, and the Group Financial Manager, gaining meaningful exposure to international investments, complex valuations, and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed financial modelling, valuation and sensitivity analysis to assess potential and existing investment opportunities.
• Analyse financial statements, operational performance and key metrics to support informed investment decisions.
• Prepare investment memorandums, reports, Board packs and presentations for senior management and investment committees.
• Perform industry and market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities and risks.
• Support due diligence processes, including financial, commercial and operational assessments.
• Monitor and evaluate portfolio investment performance, including variance analysis against forecasts.
• Assist with multi-currency financial analysis and reporting for international investments.
• Support the Group Financial Manager through analytical, reporting and coordination assistance, including meeting preparation and documentation control.

• BCom Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 3+ years’ relevant experience, either exposure within the investment division of an audit firm (articles completed) or commercial experience in an Investment Analyst or similar role.
• Strong financial modelling, forecasting and valuation expertise.
• Proven ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
• Multi-currency experience is essential.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Exposure to the mining or engineering sectors would be highly advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
