JOB SUMMARY:
Java Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Java Developer is required in the Centurion area for one of the most exciting companies out there.

You will be responsible for developing system solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements, development and maintenance on platforms / applications, ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required and a whole lot more exciting responsibility.

Requirements:

2-5 years’ experience in relevant programming language
On premise virtualisation technology expertise
Experience in testing (manual or automated testing
Web and digital project experience advantageous
Agile working experience advantageous

Qualifications

IT Business Analysis Diploma or Degree

Specific Technical / Functional skills Needed:

Experience in Java / JEE
RESTful APIs
Knowledge of design patterns
Databases/SQL (PostgreSQL advantageous)
NoSQL (Elasticsearch advantageous)
Unit testing tools (Junit/Mockito/etc)
ORM tools (Hibernate advantageous)
Spring Framework & Spring Boot
Experience with Java application servers (Glassfish)
Docker / Kubernetes (AWS / OpenShift advantageous)
Code versioning (Git)
Jenkins
