Java Technology Lead – JHB/ Hybrid - R1.6m PA

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
5-10 years of experience in a technical leadership role
Strong development background in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices, with solid object-oriented
Programming (OOP) skills. Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL or Oracle) is advantageous.
Experience with modern front-end frameworks, cloud-based deployments, containerization, and up to date
Architectural and DevOps patterns (e.g., API gateways, integration layers, and secure authentication mechanisms)
Experience with SDLC management, technical governance, and CI/CD best practices
Experience managing vendor and partner relationships in technical delivery
Knowledge of software engineering best practices, agile methodologies, and version control systems

Responsibilities:

Define end-to-end solution architecture in line with business needs, current
capabilities, and long-term evolution
Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and technically feasible.
Translate product requirements into technical implementation plans and
collaborate on effort estimation.
Apply up-to-date architecture and integration patterns, leveraging modern
frameworks where appropriate
