JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the banking/financial services sector is looking for a Java/J2EE Specialist Developer to analyse technical specifications and design/develop applications based on result of all analysis for internal and external stakeholders and in alignment with strategic objectives and client requirements. Must have experience in Java Development in the J2EE environment

JOB DESCRIPTION:

QUALIFICATION/KNOWLEDGE:

IT Diploma or BSc Computer Science Degree
Microsoft Office suite
Eclipse, Netbeans or similar
Application servers such as JBoss, Wildfly
Build tools such as Ant, Maven, & Gradle
Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins
Code Versioning Tools such as Git/ Bitbucket

EXPERIENCE:

Experience in Java Development in the J2EE environment
Minimum 1 to 3 years’ experience in Java Developing in a J2EE environment
XSD/XML
MySQL/Oracle
Springboot/ Sring MVC
Web services
Microservices
AWS
HTML/CSS and JavaScript
JSP/JSF
Angular

KPI:

Manage and control individual and relevant project / intervention costs
Manage and maintain good stakeholder relationships
Deliver on internal and external stakeholder requirements/SLA’s
Deliver on BU goals and activities aligned to strategy
Identify and scope opportunities for improvement / innovation
Deliver client or company specific projects in line with company standards and in agreement with line manager
Build, unit testing and debugging solutions
Create, document and implement unit test plans and scripts
Create and maintain technical documentation using defined templates
Interface with and assist testing and operations departments
Ensure Quality assurance is conducted on code developed
Interpret written business requirements and technical specifications in order to design and code solutions
Verify that system meets performance criteria
Perform maintenance programming to rectify identified defects
Provide first line of support for the live systems
Be able to provide feedback to the incident committee
Policies and procedures: Provide input into relevant policies and procedures
Compliance: Comply with relevant policies & procedures, regulation and legislation
Risk: Identify and escalate risks appropriately
Assist team members to ensure understanding of required deliverables and stay abreast of technical skills and communicate all industry updates and or changes to team and management
Contribute to the development of a positive team culture
