JOB SUMMARY:
SUMMARY AKHILE a Level 1 BBBEE Consulting Company that focusses on providing practical, innovative and sustainable solutions to the public sector, with a special focus on municipalities. We are looking for a high achiever, dynamic, agile and innovative individual to join our Team as a Junior Engineer in our Centurion office.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE

The individual needs to be able to work as part of a high-performance team, demonstrate leadership and problem-solving skills, work with limited supervision under the guidance of the principle engineer and other managers and promote the brand and share the values that Akhile stands for.

The individual should have a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, driver’s licence and own vehicle, 3-5 years’ experience in the relevant field some in asset management aspects, computer literacy in MS Office, Spatial applications and CAD, knowledge in Structural, Buildings and Water infrastructure (at least 2 of the mentioned aspects). Furthermore, the candidate should a desire to pursue a career in Asset Management and be registered with ECSA as a Candidate Engineer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include, amongst others: -

Asset identification;
Asset verification;
Asset condition assessment;
Interpretation of engineering drawings;
Representation of single line drawings or schematics;
Previous asset register experience would be advantageous;
Understanding of the financial principles regarding fixed asset registers; etc.
