Junior Financial Manager

POSITION INFO:
Our client who is in the engineering sector is looking for a Junior Financial Manager to join their dynamic finance team. This is an opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making, develop hands-on leadership experience, and grow alongside an established organization committed to excellence.

As a Junior Financial Manager, you will work closely with the Financial Director to manage financial planning, analysis, reporting, and compliance.

You will gain exposure to every facet of financial management, from daily operations to strategic analysis while helping shape the company’s financial performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily financial operations, including cashbook processing and bank reconciliations
• Manage Debtors, Creditors, and Payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Prepare and review statutory and regulatory submissions (SARS, VAT, MIBFA, Stats SA, etc.)
• Consolidate and manage BBBEE compliance data across departments
• Assist with preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial statements
• Conduct financial and variance analyses to support data-driven business decisions
• Support cost management, stock valuation, and continuous process improvement

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• CA(SA)
• Minimum 2+ years’ post-articles experience in financial analysis, budgeting or management accounting
• Proficiency in SAGE Evolution and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
