SUMMARY:
A defence company in Cape Town is seeking a junior RF engineer.

POSITION INFO:
A forward-thinking technology company specializing in [e.g., wireless communications, aerospace systems, IoT devices]. We're expanding our engineering team and looking for a motivated Junior RF Engineer to support the design, development, and testing of high-performance RF systems.

Role Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in RF circuit design, testing, and system integration. Working closely with experienced engineers, you’ll help develop innovative RF products and gain exposure to the full development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and simulation of RF circuits, filters, and matching networks
Support prototyping, lab testing, and validation of RF components and systems
Conduct measurements using equipment such as spectrum analyzers, VNAs, and signal generators
Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and design notes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, firmware, and mechanical engineering
Participate in troubleshooting and tuning activities during development and production

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
Basic understanding of RF theory and wireless communication principles
Familiarity with RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzer, VNA)
Some experience with RF simulation tools (e.g., ADS, CST, HFSS, or similar)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
