Key Account Manager

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of key clients across all stages of the customer lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with executive stakeholders.
• Track service levels, payment cycles, credit notes, and write-offs.
• Drive accuracy in data integrity, estimate submissions, and reporting.
• Monitor lost business and red accounts; log call plans via MS Dynamics.
• Coordinate rate negotiations, customer training, and client satisfaction surveys.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety standards, and internal reporting protocols.
• Support tender processes and provide ad hoc reporting to management.
• Lead contract negotiations and manage risk across accounts.
• Present and implement new services, solutions, and continuous improvement strategies.
• Proactively identify growth opportunities within existing accounts.
• Maintain up-to-date client documentation and oversee account updates.
• Deliver client SLA reporting, performance reviews, and executive business updates.

• Completed BCom in Logistics (Post-graduate qualification advantageous)
• 8+ years' experience in freight forwarding and logistics
• Strong background in customer-facing roles
• Proficient in advanced Excel and MS Dynamics
• Proven experience working within the freight or logistics industry
