SUMMARY:
A leading Fintech business specialising in Payments is looking for an experienced Key Accounts Manager to take ownership of a high-value merchant portfolio and play a key role in customer retention, relationship management, and revenue growth.

POSITION INFO:
This is a highly commercial, relationship-driven role for someone who enjoys being close to their customers. You'll work directly with business owners and key stakeholders, building trusted partnerships, identifying risks early, and finding opportunities to strengthen product adoption and long-term account value. You'll take ownership of a significant portfolio of merchants, using transaction trends, customer insights, and account health indicators to proactively manage retention. From face-to-face engagements and quarterly business reviews to resolving challenges and identifying upsell opportunities, you'll be a key partner in ensuring customers remain engaged and successful. Requirements: Our Client is looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in Key Account Management, Corporate Relationship Management, Customer Success, Retention, or a similar commercially focused role You'll ideally bring experience managing a sizeable account portfolio with measurable retention and growth outcomes, along with strong CRM experience using platforms such as HubSpot or similar tools A qualification in Commerce, Business, Marketing, or a related field would be advantageous, although strong, proven merchant or account management experience will be equally valued Experience within the South African SME market, digital payments, fintech, hospitality, retail, or professional services would be beneficial This permanent Cape Town opportunity offers a competitive package, hybrid flexibility, generous annual leave, medical aid support, performance incentives, modern equipment, and the opportunity to join a collaborative and fast-moving team
