SUMMARY:

Are you an experienced Key Account Manager with a minimum B-Tech Degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering with a Minimum 10 years’ experience in the Water Sector and Affiliated with the Industry Water Board and/or Engineering Board?

POSITION INFO:

My client in the Valve Manufacturing Sector has a unique and diversified portfolio of products catering for the mineral processing, power generation, water and affluent markets, is looking for a Key Account Manager to be responsible for the development and growth of their range of valves specifically suited to the water market, with emphasis being on the waterboards and municipal infrastructure, development of Go-to-Market Strategy – Right Product Offer variations – assessment of the client’s full range, reclaim Water Sector – client’s brands, marketing and PR Strategy, competitor analysis, Partner Model and Combination Model, collaboration with client’s Projects Office, negotiations of contracts, Water Sector Financial Outputs and succession Planning.

Minimum qualification requirements and skills:

Matric / Grade 12
Qualification: B-Tech Degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering
10 years’ experience in the Water Sector
Affiliation with Industry Water Board and/or Engineering Board is advantageous
Technical product and industry knowledge on Valves
Experience in the specification’s environment (min 5 years)
Experience in the water and sewage environment (min of 5 years)
Principles and practices of engineering and manufacturing
Contractual and commercial knowledge
Process knowledge
Water sector operating parameters. Specifically, the skills and knowledge to work and communicate with Water and
Sewage Consulting Engineers and Municipal and Waterboard Engineers
Experienced Tender responding
Proposal writing, data analysis and understanding specifications, using industry appropriate tools, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
