To sell both flexible and rigid polyurethane products to manufacturers and end users.

POSITION INFO:

Key Account Manager

Area: Johannesburg

Package: R50000 CTC P/M 

Core Purpose: To sell both flexible and rigid polyurethane products to manufacturers and end users.

Duties:

Responsible for selling the company''''s products by identifying leads, educating prospects on products through calls, trainings, and presentations, and providing existing customers with exceptional support.

• Researches and gathers appropriate information on target markets to qualified leads; plans and executes an effective sales approach.

• Represents the Company at different designer/ furniture tradeshows.

• Conduct sales trips in their specific markets to personally contact qualified clients.

• Generates and facilitates leads to partner Brand Ambassadors.

• Prepare customized bid proposals and conducts bid presentations.

Maintain a well-informed working knowledge of all product ranges, production workflow, warrantee, and guarantee, etc.

• Generates sales reports including all booking reports and other daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting as directed (i.e., Visit Report, Sales vs. Budget for relevant region and Volume vs. Budget reports).

• Liaise with customers with regards to forecasting and stock control.

• Supervise and control resource effectively to support customer delivery requirements and Lean Manufacturing principles.

• Identify core needs and offer customized solutions to our clients.

• Communicate with stakeholders the impact of market change, product changes and potential effects on customer complaints.

• Liaise and communicate with other departments to ensure effectiveness in resolving customer care complaints.

• Feedback to the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements delivery in line with Company and Customer requirements.

 

 

 

Experience & Qualifications

Grade 12 (must have Mathematics)

• Customer Care and or Marketing diploma, degree and or relevant experience (advantageous)

• Fully Bilingual in English and Afrikaans (Written and Verbal)

• At least 5 years’ experience within Customer Care/ Sales/ Brand Ambassador environment

• Must have experience with dealing with Senior Management in Organizations

• Experienced with several systems (Syspro, Microsoft - Intermediate etc.)

• Full understanding of design and production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap, and re-work

• Valid driver’s license. (Unendorsed) with own reliable vehicle

• Willing to travel (nationwide when needed)

• Must be able and willing to pursue new business opportunities

• Must be well presented and professional

  • The role is to be based in our Johannesburg branch, with travelling included (must have own reliable vehicle with an unendorsed driver’s licence).
  • The ideal candidate must have solid / strong sales experience in a similar role. Experience within the same industry / manufacturing will be advantageous.
