SUMMARY:
A well-known Food Raw Material Company requires the above to manage Key Accounts within the Food Manufacturing Industry maximising profitability, controlling working capital, growing portfolios and achieving budgetary objectives.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • A tertiary qualification in Food Technology or related qualification is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous Key Account Manager experience having worked within the Food Industry is essential.
  • The successful candidate must be a strong team player with the ability to build and foster relationships as well as be fast paced, results and sales driven with a strong sales force.
  • The successful candidate must have a good business acumen with good analytical and synthesis skills as well as excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • The successful candidate must be computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Manage Key Accounts within the beverages, dairy, bakery, confectionary and related food sectors.
  • Develop and implement a multi-annual strategic plan based upon the Company strategy and Customer expectations.
  • Develop and implement Key Account plans and strategies to ensure sales targets and objectives are on target.
  • Develop a transverse relationship with the Customer and ensure strategic alignment.
  • Manage specialities and commodities food raw materials on a national basis.
  • Establish and achieve monthly and annual budgets, based on Customer information and forecasts and prepare annual budgets for Senior Management.
  • Identify new business opportunities by leveraging the full potential of the Company’s product and services portfolio.
  • Ensure timeous and correct delivery of goods to Customers.
  • Effectively implement price increases and maintain monthly and quarterly price lists to Customers.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
