Key Account Manager in the Food industry, calling on major chains

POSITION INFO:

Our Client is a leading food manufacturer based in CT.  They have a varied and divers client base, and are now looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Key Account Manager to manage their major retail accounts.

Key responsibilities include:

Achieving Sales Budgets and Targets                                                            Achieving Margin Budgets                                                               

Positive relationships with Retail Buyers & Planners                                        Managing Forecasts and evaluating promotional effectiveness        Understanding of the marketplace and  competitors                                                                                            Price negotiations regarding ongoing New Product Development and Price Reviews                                                                                                     Cross functional engagement with Procurement, NPD and Production

Category Management of various categories

The ideal candidates will have

• A relevant qualification, preferably in the food tech/food science arena
• A post graduate commercial qualification or MBA
• At least 5 years relevant experience working in a sales/account management role, preferably with major chains
• A strong commercial flair
