Key Account Manager - ROA

SUMMARY:

Are you an experienced Key Account Manager with a minimum National Diploma in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering with a Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Water Sector and Affiliated with the Industry Water Board and/or Engineering Board?

POSITION INFO:

My client in the Valve Manufacturing Sector has a unique and diversified portfolio of products catering for the mineral processing, power generation, water and affluent markets is looking for a Key Account Manager to be responsible developing Rest of Africa (RoA) markets and providing solutions to customers while building their brands through establishing and maintaining effective relationships both internally and externally, networking effectively to the benefit of the organization, and supporting others to meet customer requirement, developing and executing the Rest of Africa Sales and Marketing strategy in line with the business strategy, developing and implementing an Annual Business Plan for the Rest of Africa, developing and managing the Rest of Africa Sales and Marketing Budget, providing direction and high level functional guidance to the Rest of Africa division in respect of market intelligence and the implementation of the marketing strategy, identifying countries with high potential and appoint agents/distributors to sell our products, managing distributors in line with their policies, managing and monitoring stock levels of appointed distributors, reviewing tenders and negotiate contracts within the Rest of Africa territory, conducting regular market assessment to quantify opportunities and uncovering new opportunities via primary and/or secondary research, ensuring the prospect pipeline is regularly updated and accurate, assisting in planning and coordinating industry related gatherings in the Rest of Africa, compliance with Statutory Regulations and Company Policies and Procedures, overseeing the creation of marketing collateral in brand building to raise our brand equity and managing client relationships, surveys and perceptions.

Minimum qualification requirements and skills:

• Matric / Grade 12
• Qualification: National Diploma in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering
• 5 years’ experience in the Water Sector, of which 2 years from the Valve industry
• Affiliation with Industry Water Board and/or Engineering Board is advantageous
• Technical product and industry knowledge on Valves
• Existing Network (past field KAM experience in more than 3 of the 7 sectors)
• Experience in the water and sewage environment
• Principles and practices of engineering and manufacturing
• Contractual and commercial knowledge
• Process knowledge
• Water sector operating parameters. Specifically, the skills and knowledge to work and communicate with Water and
• Sewage Consulting Engineers and Municipal and Waterboard Engineers
• Experienced Tender responding
• Proposal writing, data analysis and understanding specifications, using industry appropriate tools, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
