SUMMARY:
One of the chemicals & specialty company specialising in a group of chemicals that are made on a very large scale to satisfy global markets based in Johannesburg is currently looking to hire 2 available Key Account Manager: Traded Portfolio with the following skills and experience:

POSITION INFO:
To implement the business strategic sales and marketing objectives through Customer Relationship Management and has done cross selling into various industry sectors eg: Mining; Chemical; Agriculture; Water; Manufacturing & Heavy Industry; Food; Construction.

Required outputs: Functional

  • Strategically establishing and managing a portfolio of customers;
  • Price negotiations at senior levels at customers;
  • Sending out price adjustment letters as needed;
  • Promotion of company products and image;
  • Key account management;
  • New business development;
  • Technical presentations at customers on new product launches or as needed;
  • Industry or market knowledge within the Industrial markets;
  • Collating and submitting of market surveys;
  • Growing customer base year on year in terms of volume, revenue, and margins;
  • Interface with Operations Division and other related relevant business functions;
  • Responsible for forecasting on a monthly basis;
  • Manage a complete range of commodity raw materials from purchasing to selling;
  • General administration of call reports, updating of CRM database;
  • Sound knowledge of the Commodity Trading business in various industries and markets;
  • Sound Knowledge of SA Commodities market, local producers, end users and customers.
Requirements
Qualifications and expertise required (Must)

  • Matric / Grade 12;
  • BSc Chemistry or a Degree in Sales and Marketing;
  • Minimum 5 years selling / sales experience within the chemical industry;
  • Sound understanding of pricing structures;
  • Commercially sound and Customer Centric for effective customer relationships;
  • Project Management exposure advantage.
