SUMMARY:
A Key Accounts Manager role exists within a worldwide leader in global security solutions and systems, providing Lead Systems Integration and value-added products and services to civil and military customers around the globe.

POSITION INFO:

JOB PURPOSE

 

Promote and sell the company’s South African range of Data links, IFF and Range Radar products.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

 

l  Electronic Tertiary Qualification (BSc. preferred)

l   5 to 10 years domestic/regional/international sales experience.

 

 

IDEAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

 

l  Technical and Sales experience with Defense and Civil IFF and Data Links. Technical and Sales experience with Radar Systems.

l  Thorough understanding of international sales and marketing principles and negotiating techniques.

 

KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

 

 

l  Well versed/familiar with all technical aspects of radar, IFF, data link systems. Understand commercial and legal aspects of tender responses.

l  Familiar with international customer databases and how to extract/manage/process relevant information (Jane’s Defense, AMI).

l  Fully versed in Microsoft Office and Sales Planning/Management Tools. Proficiency in English

l  Solid experience with Business Development, from first enquiry to presenting the Company’s products, growing the business relationship and customer intimacy, listening to and understanding the customer and translating the customer’s requirements into an effective plan of action and way forward.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

 

l  Define and meet Order Intake Targets and Sales Planning.

l  Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, co-ordinate, follow up and build the sales pipeline.

l  Initiate and complete NDAs.

l  Co-ordinate the response to RFIs and RFPs, compile MOUs/MOAs and manage NDAs. Drive Contract closure to completion.

l  Build and maintain strong rapport with customers.

l  Promote the Company’s brand, the company, and its products.

l  Participate in shows and conferences, representing Company’s and the Radar/IFF/Data Link product lines
