Key Accounts Manager - Diagnostics - Western Cape

SUMMARY:
A well-established international Diagnostic Distribution Company requires the above to manage Key Accounts on a national basis.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• BSc or BTech Degree or Diploma in either Biomedical Technology, Biotechnology or a Degree in Lifesciences or related is essential.
• Previous experience having worked in a laboratory within the Pathology or Medical Diagnostic Industry is essential.
• A qualification in Haematology, Clinical Chemistry, Immunology or Serology is preferred.
• Previous experience having worked within a medical laboratory ideally within a clinical environment is preferred.
• Previous sales experience is advantageous but not essential as the Company will train the right person for the role.
• The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as be computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing Key Account Clients and developing new business in order to grow market share and driving all marketing strategies within allocated sales region for a range of products.
• Driving the sales strategies agreed on.
• Compiling quotations and following-up on orders as well as updating prices, etc.
• Driving budgets and forecasting and ensuring that monthly, quarterly and annual budgets are met and exceeded.
• Interacting with Principals, building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Maintaining a proactive approach with regards to all Key Accounts and ensuring strong relationships with Laboratory, Procurement and Management Teams.
• Visiting and troubleshooting at Key Accounts providing assistance when required to do so.
• Providing technical advice to Customers regarding products and new products on the market.
• Presenting presentations at conferences, seminars and exhibitions when required to do so.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
