I’m currently recruiting for experienced L2 Network Engineers for contract opportunities with leading organisations across South Africa. These roles offer exposure to enterprise-grade technologies, complex network environments, and the opportunity to work alongside highly skilled professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and resolve escalated network incidents (L1 to L2).
Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds, Wireshark, and PRTG.
Implement network changes, upgrades, and migrations.
Collaborate with L3 engineers and cross-functional teams.
Maintain accurate network documentation and configuration backups.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

National Senior Certificate / Matric / N3 / Grade 12
Degree or Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
ITIL Foundation Certification

Certifications preferred:

Aruba (ACSP / ACMP / ACP – Campus Access)
Fortinet NSE7

Experience:

3–5 years in a network support or engineering role
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, HP/Aruba, or Mikrotik
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, NAT, QoS

Skills:

Proficient in network monitoring and diagnostic tools
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
