JOB SUMMARY:
A well-established company based on the East Rand is looking for a Legal Manager with experience in debt counselling

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Education: Matric / Diploma in Administration / Legal Secretarial Services

Professional Memberships: Registered Debt Counsellor

Minimum Experience: 3-5 years’ experience

Duties and Requirements includes but is not limited towards the following:

Detailed understanding of legal and court processes with regards to debt counseling
Plan, coordinate and secure all documentation required to ensure comprehensive compilation of client files for submission to Court
Continually assessing organisational systems and procedures to make sure all required documentation is collected prior to files being handed in to the department
Manage incoming files ensuring they are referred to appropriately skilled team members for efficient and effective processing
Monitor organisational and industry developments to ensure adequate methodologies for preparing files for Court are built in to internal procedures
Develop organisational documentation to be used to meet legislative requirements and Court practices
Monitor payments for Court applications/legal fees to ensure they are made timeously and advise Financial Manager of payment batches
Monitor Restructure and Legal Fees are received timeously and advise short or overpayments to respective Managers
Monitor the escalation of cases in order to ensure stipulated time scales are complied
Establish operational standards to ensure compliance with legal requirements and attainment of highest level of integrity in dealings with clients
Manage staff attendance, leave, incentives, training and development, performance management, hiring and coaching of staff
