An established law firm based in Durban North is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their team on a 24-month contract.

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented legal professional with at least 5 years' recent legal secretarial experience, who is confident working within a litigation environment and can manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.

POSITION INFO:
Key Requirements The successful candidate will have: Matric Minimum 5 years' recent legal secretarial experience Good understanding of Magistrate's Court and High Court litigation processes Understanding of the vehicle collection process Strong legal drafting experience Exceptional attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal errors Strong administrative and people skills Ability to work effectively under pressure Excellent and proactive verbal and written communication skills Strong risk awareness , both internally and externally Excellent client and stakeholder relationship management skills Ability to take instructions and liaise professionally with: Clients Opposing attorneys Counsel Sheriffs Registrars Other relevant stakeholders Strong computer literacy Experience with Ghost Practice or a similar legal practice management, recording and billing system What We're Looking For This role would suit a seasoned Legal Secretary who understands the demands of a busy litigation environment, takes pride in producing accurate work and is comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders. Strong communication, attention to detail, independence and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
