Litigation Claims Consultant

SUMMARY:
A legal insurance and legal services organization is looking to appoint a Litigation Claims Consultant who will manage and coordinates claims and litigation files
by way of submission of claims and managing litigation files until finalization thereof. The Litigation Claims Consultant’s main objective is to assess and submit claims relating to all matters in respect of all fields of law.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements: LLB degree and an admitted attorney or advocate, At least 1 year Litigation experience Ability to speak, write and understand two official African languages Computer literate, excellent communication skills and initiative Excellent team player Able to work without supervision Positive and motivated individual Also possess the attributes as set out under the heading skills, ability and knowledge. Responsibilities will include: Drafting cases on Lawyerly Attending to Criminal, Civil, Family and Labour files Managing litigation claims in cooperation with the Head of Department and in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Claims Policy and any other policies provided by the Chief Risk officer or Head of Claims Drafting claims and submission thereof to the Merit Assessment Committee Verification of policy payment history monthly Organising referrals\/instructions to accredited panel attorneys Follow repudiation\/exclusion procedures in accordance with the claims policy and legal operational manual Monthly case management of the files until finalization of the matter, which will include not only obtaining feedback from a Service Provider but also questioning the Service Provider if the service provided is sub-par, not in accordance with the laws of South Africa and will cause the policyholder and\/ Law For All prejudice Making use of only the Telviva system at all times in order for calls to be recorded. (The Litigation Claims Consultant is therefore expected to verify the identity of policyholders and attend to security checks) Manage invoices\/accounts received from Service Providers Complying with all the provisions contained in the Claims Policy Please note that if you have not received a response within 14 days of submitting your application that your application was unsuccessful.
