SUMMARY:
Are you an experienced Litigation Secretary with excellent Dictaphone typing skills?

A leading law firm in Cape Town is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Commercial Litigation Secretary with at least 3 years' experience supporting Attorneys in a commercial litigation environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing diaries, preparing, formatting and compiling pleadings, affidavits, memoranda, correspondence and bills of cost, while ensuring accurate and efficient administrative support.

Experience with Lexpro and knowledge of FICA requirements will be advantageous.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 or equivalent Legal Secretarial or related tertiary qualifications highly beneficial Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience working in a commercial litigation department, including related administrative duties Experience in general litigation processes and protocols Experience working with court and online systems, including Caselines, Court Online, Windeed and CIPC Typing and Dictaphone typing skills with a speed of above 60 words per minute Experience with FICA requirements and the Lexpro Bookkeeping System highly beneficial Computer literate, with full proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to utilise and operate all relevant applications Strong English and Afrikaans communication skills, both written and verbal Diplomatic and professional when dealing with clients, service providers and staff Conscientious, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail Meticulous and organised, with the ability to plan and multi-task Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team Able to meet deadlines and remain flexible Dedicated, reliable, ethical and honest DUTIES Complete Dictaphone typing accurately and efficiently Schedule and coordinate appointments, client meetings, virtual meetings, court hearings and appearances Opening of files and debiting of fees on Lexpro Type letters, affidavits, pleadings, bills of costs, legal opinions and other legal documents Provide secretarial and administrative support to Attorneys in the commercial litigation department Debit fees, generate and process invoices, and bill clients Transcribe and proofread legal documents and pleadings Prepare, format and compile pleadings, affidavits, memoranda, correspondence and bills of costs Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience Join us on SOCIAL MEDIA or visit our WEBSITE for more information.
