JOB SUMMARY:
Are you an immediately available Logistics Imports Coordinator looking to refine your experience in an organization that brings people together, this role is a blank canvas offering the successful incumbent an opportunity to negotiate, plan, and manage import operations?

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role:

Place orders on Syspro, and forward to Chinese / Korean / Greece Suppliers.
Capture order details on Purchase order schedule – and use this as a tracking tool.
Obtain Pro-forma invoices from suppliers if deposit payment is needed. Check and compare PFI with Purchase order schedule. Capture invoice details on Financial Payment schedule. Info Captured – Invoice Number, Supplier Name, Supplier Code, DBN ETA, Payment date, Type of payment – Full / Balance / Deposit, Invoice Amount, Rate of Exchange, Rand Value, Order No. Bill of Lading in case of Full / Balance payments.
As per below payment schedule – ensure that these deposits are paid.
Obtain Proof of payment from finance department and forward to supplier.
Knowledge of various methods of transport on Imports: airfreight, full Container loads, less container loads, handling of dangerous cargo containers, such as gas canisters from Greece, ensure that MSDS sheets are on file and send to clearing and forwarding agent
Type of Containers handled: 20 “ DV – Dangerous cargo containers, 20” GP – Normal 20” containers, 40” HQ – 40 “ High Cube containers.

Qualification:

Diploma/ Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics
Knowledge of various methods of transport on Imports: Local and international payments knowledge & experience
Ensure that MSDS sheets are on file and send to Clearing and Forwarding agent
Knowledge of Incoterms
Goods Imported on FOB basis
Have knowledge of CFR, CIF, EXW, DDP etc
Excel sheet – indicating which payments are due for payment the following week
Excel sheet – indicating which payments were made the previous week
