Logistics Supervisor

Purpose of the job:
To supervise the Logistics processes and team in order to achieve business objectives

Reports to: Logistics Manager 

Skills:

Customer Service:

· Apply the skills of customer care in a specific work environment

Computer Skills:

· Operating computer systems

o MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

o SAP

Projects:

· Apply a range of project management tools and techniques

Report Writing:

· Present information in report format

Workshops/Meetings:

· Conduct a structured meeting

· Facilitate meetings/workshops effectively to achieve organisational outcomes

· Plan, develop, and deliver presentations

General:

· Apply the organisation's code of conduct in a work environment

· Apply the principles of corporate governance and ethics in a function

· Apply basic business principles

· Apply problem-solving techniques to make a decision or solve a problem

People Supervision:

· Apply basic human resources practices

Knowledge:

Quality:

· The principles of HACCP

· Demonstrate an understanding of Quality Control in the Production environment

· Demonstrate an understanding of quality and food safety requirements for a Quality Management System

Customer Service

· Demonstrate an awareness of customer service

Product:

· Demonstrate knowledge of commercial oil and fat based products

Process:

· Demonstrate knowledge of the Production & Refining Processes

· Demonstrate knowledge of characteristics & processing of oils & fats

· Demonstrate an understanding of production, principles, methodologies, and processes

Project Management:

· Explain fundamentals of project management

Minimum qualifications:

National Diploma: Supply Chain Management

Experience:

5 - 10 years of relevant experience in a related role within the food manufacturing environment
