JOB SUMMARY:
Logistics and Distribution Controller - Equity Requirement - Cato Ridge - 1 year CONTRACT position

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position would be for a fixed term contract of 1 year.

Main purpose of the position:
To develop and implement an overall fluid Logistics and distribution strategy, that will include the implementation and maintenance of said plan.
Whilst monitoring developed metrics, create a 3 phased (short, mid and long term) approach to overall sustainability and continuous cost improvement against group goals.

Cost reduction of the distribution and logistics of the organisation’s products
Develop, Maintain and Monitor warehousing and logistics Metrics that would drive the correct behaviour, that will maintain quality and service to customers, whilst reducing cost
Actively setup and maintain the distribution of the organisation’s products (hub and spoke model with a JIT philosophy), layout design, Storage and handling best practises., Process development, Personnel Training - warehouse and logistics, Continuous improvement
Service provider:
Identify the best service provider/s for transportation.
Develop beneficial SLA’s.
Monitor and manage
Maintenance of owned / leased assets
Damages or defects received at DC’s and Customers

Solution Implementation

Salary - R600 - R720 000pa CTC
