JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client who is one of the forerunners in specializing in online leak sealing solutions and composite repairs are seeking to employ a dynamic draughtsman to join their multi-disciplinary team.

Duties and responsibilities:

Proven work experience as a draughtsman or similar role (at least 5 years of experience)
Degree/Diploma in Draughting from a technical college.
Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software, AutoCad and Autodesk Inventor are essential.
Ability to produce manufacturing drawings from concept designs and 3D models.
Ability to grasp concepts quickly and efficiently. Work closely with engineers to develop 3D models and for equipment with complex geometries.
Ability to work systematically and ensure completion of tasks to meet project deadlines and clients’ expectations.
Ability to effectively prioritize workload and work under pressure. Weekends and after-hours work is required at times and remunerated accordingly.
Proficient as a team player with excellent communication skills, but also able to work on own initiative. Communication in English at a professional level.
Experience using MS Office package, MS Excel is essential.
Excellent organizational and planning skills are imperative.

ADVANTAGES

Knowledge of pressure vessel designs (leak sealing clamps).
Knowledge/Experience of designing in accordance to ASME and SANS.
Knowledge within the oil & gas industry.
Experience with reading P&IDs.
Experience with weld maps and draughting of weld details for mechanical components
