MECHANICAL DRAUGHTSMAN

Our client who is one of the forerunners in specializing in online leak sealing solutions and composite repairs are seeking to employ a dynamic draughtsman to join their multi-disciplinary team.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Proven work experience as a draughtsman or similar role (at least 5 years of experience)
• Degree/Diploma in Draughting from a technical college.
• Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software, AutoCad and Autodesk Inventor are essential.
• Ability to produce manufacturing drawings from concept designs and 3D models.
• Ability to grasp concepts quickly and efficiently. Work closely with engineers to develop 3D models and for equipment with complex geometries.
• Ability to work systematically and ensure completion of tasks to meet project deadlines and clients’ expectations.
• Ability to effectively prioritize workload and work under pressure. Weekends and after-hours work is required at times and remunerated accordingly.
• Proficient as a team player with excellent communication skills, but also able to work on own initiative. Communication in English at a professional level.
• Experience using MS Office package, MS Excel is essential.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills are imperative.

ADVANTAGES

• Knowledge of pressure vessel designs (leak sealing clamps).
• Knowledge/Experience of designing in accordance to ASME and SANS.
• Knowledge within the oil & gas industry.
• Experience with reading P&IDs.
• Experience with weld maps and draughting of weld details for mechanical components
