SUMMARY:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to take ownership of maintenance activities within the business. This is an in-house role, focused on ensuring plant, equipment, and infrastructure operate reliably, safely, and efficiently on a day-to-day basis.

POSITION INFO:

Duties and Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and execute preventative and breakdown maintenance across plant and equipment
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation faults to minimise downtime
Maintain and improve maintenance schedules, procedures, and records
Oversee routine inspections and ensure equipment operates within design and safety parameters
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant reliability and efficiency
Coordinate external contractors and service providers where required
Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintenance procedures, and statutory requirements
Maintain spare parts, tools, and maintenance resources
Work closely with production, engineering, and management teams to support operational requirements

Experience and Qualifications

Experience in maintenance engineering or plant maintenance within an industrial, mining, or manufacturing environment
Strong hands-on exposure to mechanical and electrical maintenance
Experience working on equipment such as mills, conveyors, screens, pumps, or similar industrial machinery
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve faults independently
BTech in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics OR Trade-tested Millwright qualification
Senior millwright or artisan candidates with strong maintenance leadership experience will be considered
