Maintenance Manager - Trade tested Millwright

POSITION INFO:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Qualified Artisan (Millwright) or B Tech or degree in Mechanical Engineering 10 years experience in the role in a mechanical engineering environment 10 years experience in large steel manufacturing environment Management\/Leadership training certificate Knowledge of the ISO 14001 management system Knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS\/SAP) would be an advantage PERSONAL TRAITS Excellent management and diagnostic skills Excellent customer relations, interpersonal and communication skills Assertive & decisive Proficient in MS Office SUMMARY OF DUTIES - Development & proper implementation of functional policies - Develop & implement new initiatives to enhance processes - Develop & implement an effective preventive maintenance plan - Implement financial controls to manage functional budget - Ensure effective & efficient outsource of maintenance activities - Management of fuel inventories - Maintain compressed air, electrical supply & CNC machines - Ensure lifting equipment is inspected & maintained in line with legal requirements - Ensure reliable availability of critical mechanical components - Develop individual & team competence - Effective management of team performance - Maintain an effective management information system
