Maintenance Manager - Boksburg, East Rand - EE/AA

Calling all Maintenance Managers with Manufacturing or FMCG Experience!

POSITION INFO:

My client a leading and well known manufacturing company based in Boksburg requires a competent and qualified Maintenance Manager to join their team.

This position is reporting to the Head of Site.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To provide an all-inclusive asset management for the safe and efficient operations of plant and equipment including outsourced disciplines.

Ensure all asset management functions are planned, competent and adequate resources are allocated, competencies are acquired and developed and a culture of prevention and continual improvement are evaluated.

 KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

· Provide inputs for a strategic direction to asset management of the site in line with the proposed ISO 55001

· Ensure effective and efficient maintenance of equipment, facilities and Yard

· Lead technical investigations into problem areas of asset management using problem solving techniques

· Prepare and manage the maintenance budget and assist with capital expenditure projects of the engineering group

· Implementing a quick reactive mind-set to breakdowns

· Managing the critical spares stores

· Compile and ensure implementation of EE Plan for Engineering discipline

· Ensuring that the business plan is executed accordingly within the approved budget

· Ensuring that OSHACT ISO regulations are always up to date

· Responsible for employee development, training, performance management as well as succession planning

· Ensuring that Asset Register is available and accurate all the time

POST REQUIREMENTS:

· BSC/Btech in (Engineering) ESSENTIAL

· 3 to 5 years experience in Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Engineering Management

· 3 to 5 years experience in Project management

· 5 to 6 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering Industry ESSENTIAL

· Occupational safety, health and environmental awareness

· Performance and strategic management skills

· Financial management skills will be an added advantage

Must reside in the greater Johannesburg/ East Rand area or be willing to relocate.

COMPETENCY:

· Ability to analyze and interpret problems on different types of highly complicated machinery, equipment and processes

· Ability to make quick decisions and sound judgments with general company policies with little technical guidance

· Ability to create and maintain a pleasant working environment within own department
