SUMMARY:
The position is responsible for leading the engineering, maintenance, and technical functions of a modern feed mill operating on a continuous 24-hour, 7-day basis. This role ensures maximum equipment reliability, minimal downtime, efficient operation of all production processes (raw material handling, batching, mixing, pelleting, cooling, packing, etc.), and optimal performance of utilities to support consistent production of high-quality mash and pelleted feed, predominantly for poultry.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmes using CMMS to improve plant performance. Oversee the maintenance of feed mill equipment, utilities, and supporting infrastructure. Troubleshoot equipment failures, lead root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions. Plan and coordinate maintenance schedules, shutdowns, and contractor activities. Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and maintenance KPIs to optimise costs and equipment availability. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company standards, promoting a strong safety culture. Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team while driving continuous improvement initiatives. Work closely with Production and other departments to support operational efficiency, equipment upgrades, and capital projects. Prepare maintenance reports and provide recommendations to improve plant reliability and performance. Requirements Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering field. Minimum 8 years' engineering\/maintenance experience in feed milling, food processing, or manufacturing, including at least 4 years in a management role within a 24\/7 operation. Experience in poultry feed mill maintenance, including pelleting lines and material handling systems, will be advantageous. Strong technical knowledge of feed mill equipment, automation, and utility systems. Proven leadership and team management skills. Experience with CMMS, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
