SUMMARY:
Seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer from the chemical industry, ready to drive maintenance excellence in the Vaal Triangle.

POSITION INFO:
Our client is a leading industrial manufacturer specializing in polymer production with a strong focus on safety, innovation, and sustainable operations. They maintain a robust maintenance culture that supports high reliability and compliance with stringent industry regulations in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Duties:

Provide expert technical support in troubleshooting, failure investigations, and repairs.
Develop and implement maintenance procedures.
Contribute to equipment reliability and improvement strategies.
Manage critical maintenance projects.
Ensure compliance with plant safety and legislative standards.
Support spare parts management.
Lead condition-based monitoring actions to maintain equipment performance and operational integrity.

Requirements:

BEng Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; GCC highly preferred
8 years maintenance experience in chemical environments
Strong knowledge of plant legislation: Pressurized Equipment Regulations, SIL, and E(x)
Proven skills in root cause failure analysis, reliability techniques, and maintenance strategy development
Experience with maintenance management systems (SAP/MMIS) and project management
