Maintenance Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor (Manager) with experience within the Food Manufacturing industry for East Rand area.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Valid drivers license 
• Engineering Degree (Mechanical, or Electrical)
• 3 years experience within a food related manufacturing environment 
• Proven track record as a Maintenance Manager (5 years experience)
• Experience operating or supervising others who operate fire pressure systems (boilers) or other large combustion systems
• Knowledge of Local regulatory and statutory requirements relating to industrial services and environment 
• In-depth knowledge of Standards relating to industrial services and environment 

Other experience and skills required:

• Experience in planning maintenance operations
• Solid understanding of technical aspects of, electrical, mechanical systems, etc. 
• Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
• Ability to keep track of and report on daily activity 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities 
• Define and adhere to standards
• Plans, performs and manages design, modification and improvements to industrial service plant, equipment and infrastructure. Utilizing own area of competency and specialization or with competent 3rd parties
• Manage existing assists
• Support operation of industrial services to ensure high efficiency, quality and compliance. Assist in the budgeting and cost monitory of industrial services. Identifies and drives energy and water saving opportunities 
• Manages quality, environmental and internal and external compliance requirements for industrial services through management and monitoring processes and routines 
• Ensures process and personnel safety with regard to industrial services plant and equipment. From design and installation through to routine and periodic safety inspections and audits. 

Duties:

• Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
• Check electrical and hydraulic systems to ensure functionality
• Plan and oversee repair and installation activities
• Allocate workload and supervise staff members in your team
• Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
• Manage relationships with clients, contractors and service providers
• keep maintenance logs and reports on daily activities
• ensure health and safety policies and complied with
