SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity for a driven and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join a well-established player in the manufacturing and distribution sector. POSITION INFO:
Our client is a prominent organisation within the South African industrial sector, operating across manufacturing, distribution, and value-added services. With a strong market presence and a focus on operational excellence, the business offers a dynamic environment where finance plays a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making.

The Management Accountant will work closely with operational teams and senior leadership, providing financial insights, reporting, and analysis to improve efficiencies, manage costs, and support profitability across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and present monthly management accounts and financial reports
Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide actionable insights
Partner with operations to monitor costs, margins, and performance
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Drive cost control initiatives and identify areas for efficiency improvements
Support inventory management and costing within a manufacturing environment
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting
Assist with audits, compliance, and internal controls
Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision-making

Job Experience & Skills Required:

BCom Accounting or related qualification (CIMA/SAIPA/SAICA advantageous)
3–5 years’ experience in a management accounting role
Experience within manufacturing, distribution, or a stock-driven environment is highly preferred
Strong understanding of costing, inventory, and operational finance
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
Commercially astute with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels of the business
