Management Accountant (Manufacturing / Job Costing)
Location: Vanderbijlpark

A hands-on opportunity for a Management Accountant / Costing Specialist to build and implement costing and reporting systems within a small engineering/manufacturing environment.

Contract Details:

3-month full-time contract
Transition into permanent part-time role (20 hours per week, office-based)
Start: ASAP
Salary: R15,000 – R20,000 (initial) | R10,000 – R15,000 (permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement job costing systems and procedures
Build and manage budgets, forecasts, and reporting structures
Establish labour and machine (CNC) billing rates
Drive adoption and governance of job costing systems (JobSys or similar), Pastel / Sage Evolution V19
Produce monthly management accounts and performance reports
Support pricing, margin analysis, and cost control
Ensure data accuracy, reporting automation, and operational insights

Requirements:

Qualification in Cost/Management Accounting or Industrial Engineering
5–10 years’ experience in manufacturing or engineering environments
Strong experience in job costing, budgeting, and reporting
Advanced Excel skills (automation experience advantageous)
Experience with job costing systems (e.g., JobSys) preferred

Comfortable working with operations and production teams
