JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:

Engineering or financial degree
In-depth understanding of bid compilation in the built environment, preferably in the consulting engineering industry
Thorough understanding of the bid process and proven managerial experience are non-negotiable
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in bid compilation is required
Able to work under pressure
Good Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
Ability to analyse data
Ability to multi-task and prioritise
Ability to perform work under strict deadlines

KPAs:

Identifying the geographic regions in which the companies will submit bids
Manage all activities of the bid department
Responsible for managing the bid index
Must oversee bid compilations and do spot checks to verify compliance while at the same time also reviewing bids to establish the technical quality
Responsible for compiling and monitoring the annual budget for the submission of bids, inclusive of document fees, staff costs, delivery costs, etc.
Maintain a database that summarises the cost and trends associated with bid collection, delivery and preparation
