BSc: Applied Mathematics\ BCom Honours Economics

Job description & Skills:

Reviewing Call Centre early-stage performance efficiencies (Productivity, account flow, net collections, costing and business rules) and developing and maintaining supporting strategies
Setting up data structures required to initiate tests in the collections and call centre environment and providing common framework for regular
Performed analytics centered on Debicheck as a debit order platform and platform migrations Implemented Payments strategies to improve rand value collected across various populations
Created and deployed Power BI Dashboards that improve time-to-insight and facilitate easy access to key metrics for senior management on a daily/monthly basis Freeing up time for credit analysts to direct focus towards more pertinent and future facing business initiatives
Presenting in committee meetings, delivering on actions and managing stakeholder expectations
Monitoring and maintaining all collections models in the early collections space
Organizing and cleaning of data for sound reporting and highlighting operational efficiency in the Payments’ and Early-Stage Collections area Mentoring and supporting junior team members to build an effective team
Developed and monitored credit risk model to determine repayment ability relative to income as part of affordability measure
Use of credit scoring models in management of risk and development of Underwriting strategies
Classified macroeconomic factors impacting on the book and proposed actions which were approved to mitigate apparent risk
Analysed prospective new business ventures and determining viability for the bank to form partnerships
Assisted the business in batch testing of internal systems prior to and during pilot deployments to identify and report bugs in the loan offer process
Managed the originations portfolios in the flow of applications, application processes and implementation of business rules
