A prominent organisation within the mining industry is seeking a commercially minded and driven Managing Accountant to join its team based in Johannesburg East.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Analyse financial performance and provide insights to support business decisions
Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies, and reporting standards
Oversee reconciliations and maintain the integrity of financial records
Partner with operational teams to improve efficiencies and cost management

Job Experience and Skills Required:

BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance (essential)
CIMA qualification
Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in a finance or management accounting role
Mining or heavy industry exposure
Advanced Microsoft Excel and accounting systems proficiency
Strong leadership and team management abilities
