The Manufacturing Engineer will report directly to Manufacturing Engineering Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Planning process flows and capacity
• Preparation of machine specification
• Capital expenditure planning
• Procurement of equipment
• Installation and implementation of new equipment
• Training of assembly and maintenance personnel
• Make equipment upgrades and improvements that apply principles of lean production
• Mistake proofing (poke yoke) implementation
• Implementing process documentation to Automotive standards
• Process Flow Charts, Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Control Plans
• Work, changeover, mistake proofing instructions
• Capacity analysis with time studies (MTM), line balancing, headcount planning
• Process capability, gauge R & R, G8D quality support
• Support Health and Safety Activities
• Attend daily meetings in Production Control Centre to provide input on Quality and OEE performance
• Support daily production using the tools of Lean Production
• Assistance and specific instruction as needed
• Provide probable solutions to production related issues and concerns
• Support machine repair and maintenance requirements
• Training and support
• Maintain and communicate engineering timing including all deliverables
• Prepare for internal & external audits of projects
• Interface with global project teams
• Support in the preparation of PPAP documentation for customer

REQUIREMENTS:

• National Diploma / Degree in Mechatronics or similar
• Formal training in CAD (Solid works) is essential!
• Siemens PLC basic knowledge is essential
• 2-3 Years’ Engineering and Project Management experience gained within the automotive parts / components / industrial or manufacturing / engineering industry
• Knowledge of computer aided drawings
• General Plant Maintenance experience
• Proficiency in MS office i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Notes
• Able to work extended work hours when required
• Own reliable transport and valid driver’s license
