Marketing & Communications Manager

A prestigious international architectural and design firm is looking for a skilled Marketing and Communications Manager with energy and charisma to join their team in South Africa. 

KEY TASKS 

Operational:
• Manage the production of marketing materials in support of business development presentations, RFP responses, and other company initiatives
• Responsible for maintaining and updating the company’s visual asset library, as well as ensuring team’s use of the most updated collateral and branding (i.e., decks, signatures)
• Manage day-to-day relationships with PR agency, collaborate with Heads of Department and the Executive team to respond to press inquiries, and actively explore press opportunities
• Coordinate the awards submissions process and prepare required copy and materials
• Schedule and maintain the calendar for digital media content and all other marketing efforts across the various platforms
• Curate the brand's social media channels and create/post shareable images and videos, manage marketing collaborations, and monitor the effectiveness of these efforts
• Execute website strategies, including updating, editing, and refreshing the website; use strategic tools as needed to drive traffic
• Collect and support the production of digital visual content (i.e., photos, video)
• Prepare long-form content: provide content direction, write copy, or provide guidance to copywriter, edit, and distribute (secure publication or publish to company website)
• Organize company’s email marketing lists; organize and execute internal and external email marketing campaigns; manage Mailchimp/Wix newsletter platform and process
• Oversee and actively participate in all aspects of company’s participation in industry conferences, trade shows, etc.
• Develop and distribute internal monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports of all marketing efforts; attend team meetings and present marketing news, as required
• Work closely with all departments, and assist in the execution of any special projects and communication assignments

Content Development
• Plan, develop, and implement marketing efforts in keeping with the brand standards
• Oversee the brand content, ensuring consistency and that high levels of standards are maintained
• Write reports, specifications, and creative briefs for publication on the various platforms
• Manage and enhance the company’s brand and reputation
• Prepare long-form content: provide content direction, write copy, or provide guidance to copywriter, edit, and distribute (secure publication or publish to company website)
• Conceptualise strategic initiatives and implement details of a campaign
• Effectively manage all service providers to ensure work output is of the highest standards and meets the requirements of the brief provided
