SUMMARY:
Marketing Manager - Bi-lingual German & English

POSITION INFO:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to manage a small team and collaborate with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate has hands-on work ethics, will be responsible to develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and to lead the execution of marketing campaigns and events from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration.

He/she should be comfortable with day-to-day marketing and PR activities, as well as long-term strategy, continuously evaluating and optimising marketing activities and strategies.

Qualifications and Skills/Characteristics

·         Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing and Communications, business, or related field

·         Minimum of 5 years work experience in Marketing and Communications or Brand Management

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German

·         Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns as well as organising events

·         Proficiency with digital marketing and social media strategies

·         Strong time management and organisational skills

·         Strong collaboration abilities and networking skills

·         Creative and strategic mind

·         Multitasking, decision-making and problem-solving skills

·         Being able to deliver and oversee tasks in a punctual and calculated manner to ensure all deadlines are met

·         An eye for good design and layout as well ensuring brand consistency across all communication and designs

·         Tech-savvy, specifically in Microsoft products such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneDrive…

Advantageous:

·         Previous work experience in a school environment

·         Copywriting, proofreading and translation experience

·         Some Adobe Photoshop and InDesign knowledge

·         Photography and video skills ( as well as video-editing)

·         Knowledge of WordPress and MailChimp

·         Additional languages like Afrikaans and Xhosa is advantageous

·         Knowledge and experience in Fundraising and Sponsorship

·         Experience in internal communication
