Marketing and Distribution Manager - Insurance Industry

POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a experienced Marketing and Distribution Manager to oversee branding, marketing and all aspects of distribution, including engagements with lead providers, direct marketing channels, ecosystem distribution partners and brokers.

Marketing and Branding:

• Own ultimate responsibility for successfully establishing and growing the Company brand.
• Manage both the commercial and go to market planning and campaign execution including tactical and strategic campaigns.
• Manage the brand agency to deliver innovative campaigns across print, broadcast and online platforms to build the credibility of the brand.
• Manage the relationship with the brand agency and ensure quality outputs, within the agreed hours and budget.
• Continuously monitor market dynamics and correspondingly implement adaptive go-to-market strategy changes.
• Continually assess marketing techniques and their efficacy in affecting sales.
• Stay up-to-date on current market trends.

• Collaborate with and support lead generation partners and brokers to increase coverage, conversion and market share.
• Ensures the establishment and maintenance of positive business relations with distributors, channel partners, major suppliers, industry associations and government representatives.
• Conduct recurrent reviews with channel partners to measure performances against targeted KPIs, providing guidance and coaching.
• Work collaboratively with Call Centre Management to assess sales and projections.
• Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly sales.
• Ensures channel partners are compliant to business policies.

• Strong commercial and business awareness skills
• Knowledgeable and well-versed in the latest marketing and distribution techniques.
• Awareness of the latest market trends and shifts, as well as projections for the future.
• Evidence of ability to innovate and implement change successfully.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Able to be persuasive and procure buy-in.
• Solid computer skills and awareness of web-based marketing and social media.
• Driven and committed to success while maintaining integrity.

• Marketing or Financial Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5 years’ experience in marketing and distribution at a South African Insurance company, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
