SUMMARY:
Are you an experienced Master Data Leader from a Retail or FMCG environment, with strong knowledge of product, supplier and business-partner data?

We are looking for a Senior Master Data Manager to lead a large, multi-layered department of more than 20 direct reports. This is a high-impact role for someone who has led master-data operations at scale and can bring together people leadership, data governance, systems, quality and automation.

You will take ownership of the master-data strategy and operating model across a complex, high-volume business. Your focus will be on ensuring that product and supplier data is accurate, compliant and published on time while developing the team, strengthening controls and creating a more automated and scalable environment.

POSITION INFO:
You are likely to be a strong match if you have: Bachelorâs Degree or equivalent experience. At least 10 yearsâ experience in master data, data governance or data quality. A minimum of 5Â yearsâ leadership or management experience . Proven master-data experience within Retail or FMCG . Experience leading a sizeable team within a high-volume environment. Strong knowledge of product\/article and supplier\/business-partner master data . An understanding of product classifications, hierarchies, GTIN and GS1 principles. Experience with an MDM or ERP platform , such as SAP or an equivalent system. Exposure to MDM\/ERP implementations, supplier onboarding and automation projects. Strong stakeholder-management skills across commercial, operational and technical teams. What you will be responsible for: Define and lead the master-data strategy, governance framework, policies and standards. Lead, develop and manage a large team across master-data listing, analysis, quality, change and training. Oversee the creation, maintenance, validation and retirement of product and business-partner records. Establish and monitor data-quality rules, controls, audits and remediation programmes. Improve turnaround times and reduce operational errors caused by inaccurate master data. Own the roadmap for master-data systems, tools and automation. Lead supplier-onboarding standards, compliance initiatives and data-remediation programmes. Partner with commercial, merchandising, procurement, supply chain, finance, e-commerce and technology teams. Manage readiness for promotions, seasonal peaks, major releases and system changes. Deliver dashboards covering data quality, service levels, team performance and downstream business impact. Manage the departmentâs budget and prioritise improvement initiatives according to business value. What will set you apart: Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of SQL. Familiarity with EDI\/API integrations, ETL, RPA or business-intelligence tools. GS1, data governance, MDM, ERP, project or change-management certification. A record of introducing automation and measurable process improvements. The ability to influence senior stakeholders while remaining close to operational delivery. This role will suit a credible and resilient leader who understands that master data is not a back-office function but that it directly affects product availability, promotions, purchasing, invoicing and the customer experience.
