Master Data Manager

SUMMARY:
To provide critical management services to consolidate, cleanse, share and govern key enterprise data, thus maximizing business outcomes with improved data integrity, visibility and accuracy, resulting in efficient and effective business decisions.

POSITION INFO:

Key responsibilities:

Master Data Management and Maintenance

• Setting up of procedures and documentation for maintaining Master Data files and ensuring user communication and adherence
• Maintain dataset Library
• Capture authorized master data requests
• Timeous delivery of master data request adhering to agreed service levels
• Document all master data procedures
• Maintain master date across systems and subsidiary ERP solutions

Governance and Compliance

• Communicate Master Data governance rules and controls and ensure adherence to Master data standards
• Implement Policies and Guidelines for data management
• Ensure that the policies and processes designed to protect the integrity of Customer,  Vendor, CRM, Material and pricing master databases are accurate, maintained and adhered to across the business
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures for data handling and archiving
• Ensure the integrity, confidentiality and security of all datasets

Projects

• Manage and deliver on business systems optimization projects
• Interact with process leaders throughout the business
• Assist in the validation and testing of new ERP functionality as and when required
• Implement a change management process when new systems and enhancements are implemented

Reporting

• Run periodic Master Data integrity reports in order to control Master Data accuracy

Support

• Assist with training delivery and knowledge transfer

• Provide systems support to users on an ad hoc basis
• Provide guidance in identifying and defining data requirements
• Provide expert technical guidance and advice to the business leadership
• Manage business expectations and provide solutions in conjunction with IT
• Ensure that data changes has minimal impact on the business

Management

• Manage team of Data Administrators

-        Ensure team is competent

-        Able to deliver on business demands and project activities

Meet timeframes and deadlines

Qualifications and Experience\

• 8+ years’ experience with at least 5 years in progressive enterprise information management, with a focus on master data management
• Bachelor’s Degree (information Systems) (Computer Science) 

• Demonstrated experience in managing data set up/process, including identification and implementation of process improvement. Experience with mass data load tools
