Our Client in the Technical Engineering industry has a new vacancy for a Mechanical Design Engineer, based in Port Elizabeth

POSITION INFO:
Duties

• Understanding technical requirements of clients in the automotive industry
• Creating of innovative engineering concept solutions to meet client needs
• Working with other engineers to perform feasibility studies, develop models, and specify hardware and equipment
• Working with other engineers to improve on existing processes and mechanical designs determining and costing of mechanical hardware and
• Labour required for potential projects
• Becoming familiar with client specific mechanical design standards and practices
• Preparation and formatting of tender documentation
• Obtaining supplier quotes
• Adhoc tasks

• Qualification in mechanical engineering or related
• Eagerness to enhance and grow understanding of engineering principles and systems
• Additional studies welcomed in the direction suited to this position
• Experience with 3D engineering CAD software advantageous
• Experience in project costing advantageous
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Very good verbal and written communication
• Pro-active work ethic
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience in the automotive automation advantageous
