JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Fire and Wet Services Design Draughtsperson in the Western Cape area.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position: Mechanical Fire and Wet Services Design Draughtsperson
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Salary Range: TBA

Job Description:

Produce concept, tender and technical mechanical engineering drawings for:
Commercial buildings, Hospitals, Data Centers etc.
Generate conceptual plans for Wet & Fire Services
Progress conceptual reports and plans into construction ready drawings and documentation
Perform basic/concept designs including:
Active and passive fire protection systems, Smoke detection, Evacuations systems, Smoke ventilation, Hydraulic design, Gas suppression and other engineering tasks
Perform fire risk analysis and Due Diligence Inspections and produce phot reports
Design and produce drawings for fire and plumbing and drainage systems ensuring that the design complies with Regulations, Codes of Practice, Statutory Requirements, including NFPA, BS, SANS and ASIB

Qualifications:

BTech. (Mechanical) - Optional - Preferred
3-5 Year's Experience as a wet services design draftsman
AutoCAD 2017 (or higher) with minimum 3 years' experience
Revit MEP 2017 (or higher) with minimum 3 years' experience
Knowledge of basic design principles and applications of fire systems
Knowledge of basic design principles and applications of wet services
