SUMMARY:
Ready to take ownership of major mechanical installations on complex construction projects?

We’re looking for a Mechanical Resident Engineer who enjoys being on-site, solving real engineering challenges, and driving projects through installation, commissioning, and handover.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

Overseeing installation of HVAC, wet services, piping & fire protection systems
Ensuring construction aligns with approved designs, standards & specifications
Managing contractors, site progress & quality compliance
Reviewing shop drawings, technical submissions & RFIs
Coordinating multidisciplinary teams across civil, electrical & architectural disciplines
Leading testing, commissioning & final system handover

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 5–10+ years experience on construction or engineering projects
Strong knowledge of mechanical building services & SANS standards
Proven site supervision and contractor management experience
Excellent coordination, problem-solving & leadership skills

Qualification:

BTech / BEng in Mechanical Engineering
ECSA registration advantageous

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered
