JOB SUMMARY:
Our manufacturing client is looking for a
MECHANICAL FOREMAN
Trade test (fitter/millwright) ESSENTIAL
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
− Management skills
− Thorough knowledge & understanding of mechanical equipment and tools used in the industry
− Thorough knowledge and understanding of mechanics, mechanical drives & gearboxes,hydraulics, Pneumatics and water, air & steam reticulation
− Ability to read and understand mechanical drawing

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Main Job Responsibilities:
− Carry out planned maintenance schedules as instructed
− Carry out daily plant checks as instructed
− When requested, attend to breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs in the shortest possible time
− Assist the engineering manager in planning, leading, organizing and controlling
− Accurately recorded all work done on the job cards or on planned maintenance schedules
− Report all serious defects which could not be repaired to the engineering manager
− Carry out safety inspections on equipment and plant as instructed
− Undertake installation and modification of equipment and plant as instructed
− Undertake any reasonable request of the engineering manager
Qualification and Experience:
− Grade 12
− Minimum 10 years of experience
− 5 years in supervisory position
− Trade tested
